Your Kids Will Be Begging to go Outsie To Play These Games
Being a mother to two children has been a challenge but has been so much fun. The most difficult part of being a parent is attempting to keep them busy and not go broke. However, I have started getting really good at doing things inexpensively and this summer is going to be great and on a low budget.
Very first chalk is the very best budget-friendly thing you can get and I think you will love to have it once you read what you can do with it. The regular activity to do is allowing your children to color on the cement and they do love it, however there is much more you can do with chalk. Probably my favorite thing to do with it is draw a large rectangle of square. Then I draw circles in the rectangle using a couple various colors. Then the kids and I must go from one side to the other only using the circles in one color. This is fun and exciting but helps kids learn their colors.
I decided this summer I was going to get swings. We have an incredible tree out back with a branch that could easily hold 3-4 swings and we only need 2. My hubby and I made the decision to pu together an old fashioned swing out of 2×6 wood and sturdy rope for my 3-1/2 year old, but my younger son we decided to purchase a fisher price swing so he would not end up falling out.
My children also enjoy doing a good bean toss. We made our own bean bags and it was easy. Then we made a basic teepee with some wood and cut different holes into the front side, then our children can toss the bean bags into the holes. This really helps develope hand-eye coordination.
My last word of advice for inexpensive outdoor fun is a sandbox. Purchasing one from the store is simpler however you could build one with either plywood or cheap cedar fence pickets. Just cut the wood to the size you want the box then either attach the pieces together with some nails or you can use some stakes to hold them standing up. Now that the box is finished, get some cheap bags of sand and a couple beach toys and then you’re ready to play.
I hope these ideas will find a way into your house, or actually your yard. Also remember that you can change things up, if your children don’t like an activity the way it is than change it; just have fun and get out doors.
