Tips About Hair Loss And Pregnancy

Like the other parts of the body, one of the major changes is change with the hair. It could either become thinner, fall out, or thicken. You need to understand why this happens during pregnancy and what you can do to help the problem in order to fight the thinning and loss of your hair.

Having a lot of effect on your hair are hormones. The main reason your hair will change during pregnancy is the change in hormones. Estrogen plays a large part in the way that your hair is shaped. If your hair begins to grow faster and becomes thicker, it is most likely because there is an increased amount of estrogen that is moving through your body. To increase the growth rate, estrogen moves to the hair follicles in your body. Also increasing hair growth are the extra nutrients provided from the estrogen increase. This is the result of the metabolism moving faster because of estrogen and the body is then supplied with extra nutrients.

Another change that you may notice from pregnancy is a change in the style. It can change from straight to curly and vice versa. The hormone changes usually attributes to this. Hair will grow and texture will be added to it because the hormone increase that you experience will automatically move into the cortex. The only time this will change back is after pregnancy when the hormones return to normal.

After your baby is born, these same changes also occur. Your hair thinning and falling out is what you’ll realize. The first 3-6 months after pregnancy usually causes a change in your hair. This is normal after pregnancy and should be expected. This usually occurs because the estrogen levels are able to move back to normal and slow down the nutrients that are moving through your body.

When your body isn’t receiving the nutrients it needs, then hair falls out during pregnancy. Those essential nutrients are needed in order for your body to produce the amount of estrogen required. Your hair falling out during pregnancy is one of the things you need to be aware of. If this occurs, it is most likely a result of not receiving enough nutrients for your body to produce the right amounts of estrogen. Within the first trimester, this is especially a problem because of the nausea and morning sickness. To allow your body to stay balanced, it’s important to make sure that you’re getting the right amounts of nutrients during this time.
