Grey Siamese cats even have two unique kinds which are grouped based on the shades of their points. There are the cool or blue grey Siamese cats and the warm or lilac grey Siamese cats. The variation of the grey Siamese cats is that compared to the typical ones, their color is actually lighter. However, as they grow older, the light colors usually turn to dark.

Additionally, the variations of the grey Siamese cats are not that big when compared to those found in warmer places. It is also assumed that the existence of grey Siamese cats is most likely due to the effect of their albinism especially the cat points. Based on researches, the points found in Siamese cats are caused by their extremities since these parts are considered to be the coldest parts of the cat. In colder places on the other hand, the older fur convert into darker colors because of the fact that the climate lowers their whole body temperature.
