Living in up in Corsica
I had never been to Corsica before last summer when my wife and I decided to choose from one of many Corsica apartments. The self catering route is something we’d never undertaken before, but our friends had had holidays in Corsica which was a very enjoyable experience, we were told.
Luxury villas in Corsica are commonplace on the island, and we thought that the standard of comfort and luxury would be nothing out of the ordinary. However on arrival at our villa, we were extremely pleased. The villa’s entrance was rather grand and gave the residence a regal look. The luxury inside was second to none and my wife and I could not have hoped for anything better. We had the use of our own swimming pool, there was a barbecue area and in the bathroom there was a Jacuzzi.
We were on the island for two weeks and in that time we were living like a king and queen. Every morning I would go for a dip in the swimming pool before my wife and I would have our breakfast al fresco by the pool. In our first week on the island, we hired a car and drove round the island taking many photos on the way. Being photography hobbyists, my wife and I made good use of being on this beautiful island. On our second week we set off on foot, meeting many local people along the way who all seemed pretty welcoming. During the times we decided to go by coach, we were amazed at the value for money of these tours.
On some nights we stayed in our villa and had a barbecue and on others we went into town. This was a short walk away and there was a good selection of restaurants to pick from.
If you have never visited this enchanting island before, I would strongly recommend that you visit some time soon.
