Stop Forcing Yourself: Forcing yourself to write is not the way to go as that’ll only work the opposite way; you should learn to go with the flow and make yourself comfortable with the actual writing process. The main thing every writers should focus on is the enjoying the writing process. If you aren’t finding the writing fun and enjoyable, then you will probably make matters worse by trying to force yourself into doing it. Trying to force yourself to write is like trying to force yourself to sleep when you have insomnia. Sometimes stepping away for a while from something that seems very difficult, like that first draft of an article or that first sentence can get the creative mind going.
Start Right After You Wake Up: If you’re stuck somewhere due to the writer’s block, then you should consider starting as soon as you wake up, taking care of it the first thing in the morning. Your brain is at its best in the morning after you’ve gotten a good night’s sleep and can deal with writer’s block more effectively so don’t waste these important energy filled hours!
Stop Thinking and Start Writing: Many of us tend to experience writer’s block not because we’re short on ideas, but because we’re too busy thinking instead of taking action. You need to get to your writing without focusing too much on thinking or how well things might or might not go.
The hardest part is the beginning and once you take care of that it will get a lot easier. If you find yourself getting frustrated because of too much of thinking – take a break and come back to your project later on. When you come back to it actually start writing.
