Now that the icy winter and the moody spring have loosed their grip on the land, it is time to ring in the summer. For the ladies out there, it is time to sport the latest fashion trends and make a statement about your personality with your wardrobe. Womens fashion tends to experience change more quickly than mens, so the girls have to stay on top of things. There are some style changes in store for the summer of 2011, creating new fashion trends for women.

The summer is a bright, shiny season, and ladies must wear the appropriate footwear to reflect this. A pair of soft-purple strappy sandals shows off a carefree side to the woman wearing them. Those with a cork heel are currently enjoying popularity. When down by the beach for some sun and sand, neon boat shoes really set the tone. Really, any neon shade will do, whether it is orange, yellow, or green. One style of footwear that remains the same for 2011 is the ever-reliable flip-flop. As usual, bright and easy shades like pink are called for during the warm months.

Summer is of course a time for swimming, and womens swimwear actually has not undergone much change this year. As in previous years, 2011s swimsuits are informed by those of decades past. Especially popular this summer are suits that resemble those donned by the pinup models of the 1950s, and versions that are either reserved or showy are equally acceptable.

For the woman who likes to carry her accessories close by her side, totes are a necessity. These carriers must, however, be relaxed. Silk bags with chain straps certainly are, and look all the more made for summer when printed with seashell designs. This type of tote is also soft and comfortable. Internet connections are available everywhere you turn, and the ladies wishing to stay connected will want to protect their laptops in a computer bag made of nylon and fashioned in colors that simply are summer, such as lime green and lemon yellow.

In some regards, the summer of 2011 fashion trends for women have not changed much. Swimsuit trends are similar, as are the colors found on clothing and accessories. As long as you stay current with your shoes and other items, you will look great and feel free for the summer season.
